Effective Blessings

We have the ability to inject every space we enter with positive energy, leaving a gentle and lasting impression.

Every physical space we inhabit absorbs the energy of those who pass through it. We cannot control the energy left by others, but we can influence the energetic footprint we leave behind. By blessing each space we enter, we create a subtle energy shift that benefits both ourselves and those who come after us. This act of grace, although its effects may not be immediately visible, offers comfort in knowing that we have contributed positively to the environment for others.

When you bless a room or building, you impart a powerful message of love and light for future occupants. Your blessings have a multitude of positive effects on the environment. They clear old, stagnant energy, allowing fresh, invigorating energy to flow in. This transforms the space, making it harmonious and nourishing, and a source from which positive feelings emanate.

The key to effective blessings lies in your intention. If your intent is to selflessly spread grace using your consciousness, your blessings will always be beneficial. Whether you prefer a solo blessing or seek assistance from spirit guides, visualize each space becoming free of toxins, chaos, and negativity as you speak your blessing. Then, imagine pure, healing white light and loving energy replacing the emptiness. Even a brief, mindful thought of love can bless a space.

This type of blessing is cumulative, gaining strength with each bestowal. Try blessing every home, business, and office you visit for an entire week and observe the positive effects of your goodwill. Your affirmative energy footprint will contribute to brightening your own day as you consider the future impact of your blessings on humanity and the environment.

Here are 10 simple, low-cost, and uplifting rituals you can use to bless a home or office, inviting in positivity, productivity, and a fresh energy flow:

1. Morning Light Welcome ☀️

Open windows and blinds first thing in the morning to let natural light flood in. As you do, say aloud: “This space is filled with light, clarity, and opportunity.”

2. Smudge or Scent Sweep 🌿

Burn sage, palo santo, or use essential oils (like lemon or rosemary) in a diffuser. Move clockwise around the space, pausing at corners where stagnant energy hides.

3. Salt Purification Bowl 🧂

Place a small bowl of sea salt in each main room overnight to absorb negative energy. Discard the salt outside the next morning and say: “I release what does not serve this space.”

4. Water & Citrus Mop Ritual 🍋

When cleaning floors, add a few drops of lemon essential oil or slices of lemon/orange to your mop water. Visualize wiping away old, stale energy and making room for fresh ideas.

5. Affirmation Corner 📜

Designate one wall, shelf, or desk corner to post inspiring quotes or affirmations that reflect the energy you want in the space (e.g., “I am focused, creative, and inspired here.”).

6. Crystal Charge Station 💎

Place crystals like citrine (abundance & focus) or clear quartz (clarity) in the workspace. Hold each crystal and set an intention for it to “work” for your home or office.

7. Sound Clearing 🔔

Use a bell, wind chimes, or gentle hand claps in each corner of the room to break up stagnant energy. Repeat weekly or after stressful days.

8. Fresh Flowers or Green Plants 🌱

Introduce a plant or vase of fresh flowers to boost oxygen, focus, and calm. As you place them, say: “Life flourishes here.”

9. Gratitude Moment at Entry 🚪

Each time you enter, pause for 3 seconds, take a deep breath, and silently name one thing you’re grateful for. This builds an energy “reset” at the doorway.

10. Weekly Reset Ritual 🕯️

Once a week, light a candle, sit quietly for 2 minutes, and envision the space filled with golden light. See your week ahead flowing with focus, productivity, and joy.

DAY BY DAY . . .

Navigating life becomes significantly simpler when we embrace the present day, rather than constantly focusing on the future.

Life unfolds day by day, not all at once. Each sunset allows us to rest, confident that dawn brings a fresh start, new perspectives, and renewed hope. The hours between sleep are ours to decide how we will live, learn, laugh, and grow. Experiencing life this way—one day at a time—makes it sweeter and more manageable.

Consider the future stretching out before you. Do you feel tension or stress about the journey ahead? Perhaps you’ve made a recent lifestyle change, like a new diet or quitting smoking, and the thought of maintaining it for years seems daunting.

Or maybe you’ve started a new job or are newly married, and feel anxiety about your ability to succeed. Shifting your focus from years down the line back to the present day can bring calm and renewed confidence in your abilities. You might also discover an inner faith that the future will take care of itself.

How we engage with our lives today and tomorrow significantly impacts who we become and what we experience in the years to come. By remaining fully present in the day at hand, enjoying its offerings, and maximizing our energy, we’ll find ourselves perfectly ready and capable of handling any future when it arrives.

Here is your 5-Step Stay Present Plan:

Step 1: Anchor with Breath

Why: The breath is your built-in lifeline to the present.

  • Practice: At least 3 times a day, pause for 60 seconds. Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 6.
  • As thoughts come, acknowledge them, then gently return to the rhythm of your breath.
  • Mantra: “I am here. I am safe. I am enough.”

Step 2: Name What You See, Hear, and Feel

Why: Naming sensory input grounds you in your current environment.

  • Practice: Pick a moment during your day and say (out loud or silently):
    • “I see… (the light through the trees).”
    • “I hear… (the hum of a fan).”
    • “I feel… (the warmth of my hands).”
  • This invites your senses to sit at the table of now.

Step 3: Create “Now” Rituals

Why: Familiar rituals create sacred space in the present.

  • Practice: Choose one small, intentional daily act: making tea, stretching, lighting a candle, walking barefoot.
  • Do it slowly, fully focused on that act. No distractions. (I make my bed very slowly each morning – I purposely tuck every corner – flatten every wrinkle – it feels so energizing  to start the morning this way.)
  • Let it be your anchor to remind yourself: “This is my life. This moment is mine.”

Step 4: Notice When You Drift—and Gently Return

Why: It’s not about perfection—it’s about return.

  • Practice: When you catch yourself spiraling into regret or future worry, say this aloud or in your head:
    • “That’s the past/future. I return to now.”
  • Place your hand over your heart or belly to feel your presence. This moment is your restart.

Step 5: Practice Gratitude in Real Time

Why: Gratitude shifts the mind from lack or fear to abundance and peace.

  • Practice: Each time something brings you calm, joy, or clarity, say thank you in the moment.
    • “Thank you for this warm cup of coffee.”
    • “Thank you for this quiet breath.”
    • “Thank you for surviving, even when it was hard.”

♥ Bonus Affirmation: ~ “I don’t have to fix the past or predict the future to be whole. I already am. Right here. Right now.”

“Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go.”

By creating space for profound healing and renewal, we clear away what no longer serves us.

Life can throw unexpected events at us that leave a lasting impression, such as the death of a loved one, a sudden epiphany, or an instant that changes everything. We may find ourselves reflecting on these events for years to come.

These defining moments can ground us, reminding us of our reality and what is truly important. Although we may try to forget these memories as we move forward, they can still weigh heavily upon us.

Repressed emotions don’t disappear; they can manifest unexpectedly as mental exhaustion, emotional outbursts, or even a disorganized living space.

Creating space, both mentally and physically, is a crucial step toward achieving profound healing and renewal. This process allows us to delve deep within ourselves and confront the aspects of our lives that no longer contribute positively to our well-being. By actively identifying and releasing these burdens, we create room for growth, transformation, and the cultivation of a more authentic and fulfilling existence.

The act of letting go can be challenging, as we often hold onto things, both tangible and intangible, out of familiarity, fear, or a false sense of security. However, what we fail to acknowledge is that what we bury within ourselves doesn’t simply disappear; it often resurfaces in unexpected and potentially harmful ways. Unexpressed emotions, unresolved traumas, and limiting beliefs can manifest as physical ailments, emotional distress, and self-destructive behaviors.

By creating space, we allow ourselves to confront these hidden aspects of ourselves with compassion and understanding. This process may involve therapy, journaling, meditation, or other forms of self-reflection. It may also involve decluttering our physical spaces, letting go of toxic relationships, or changing unhealthy habits.

The goal is not to erase our past or to deny our experiences, but rather to integrate them into a more holistic understanding of ourselves. By acknowledging and releasing what no longer serves us, we create space for new experiences, new relationships, and new possibilities. We open ourselves up to the flow of life and allow ourselves to be guided by our intuition and our inner wisdom.

TRY THIS!

“THE STORY, THE LESSON, THE LETTING GO” Activity

Purpose:
To help clients honor the emotional connection to an item without needing to keep the physical object.

📝 What You’ll Need:

  • A journal or printed worksheet
  • A pen or marker
  • A camera or phone (optional)

🌟 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Choose One Sentimental Item
Pick one item that feels meaningful but may no longer fit your life or space.

2. Write the Story
Ask: “What memory or emotion is tied to this item?”
Have them write a few sentences (or talk it out if journaling isn’t their thing).

Example:
“This was my grandmother’s teacup. She used to pour me mint tea in this cup when I was a kid, and we’d sit and talk.”

3. Find the Lesson or Legacy
Ask: “What has this item taught you or reminded you about yourself or your life?”

Example:
“It reminds me how important quiet moments and connection are. I want more of that in my current life.”

4. The Letting Go
Options:

  • Take a photo of the item to keep the memory.
  • Create a small memory box or digital album with the photo and story.
  • Gently release the item with intention.

Say out loud (or write):
“Thank you for the memory. I carry your story with me, not your shape.”

✅ Why This Works:

  • It respects the emotion, rather than denying it.
  • It shifts focus from the object to the experience.
  • It gently empowers decision-making by turning guilt into gratitude.

There Are Angels Amongst Us

I Talk To Angels . . . My Angels

A meditation with your angels can add a new gentleness to your normal meditation routine.

Following my mother’s passing, I needed a way to communicate with her, as she had been my sole parent since my parents’ divorce when I was very young. Like my mother, I could be both positive and negative, a trait my grandmother often noted during her summer visits, saying we were alike and sometimes didn’t like what we saw in each other.

Despite our challenges, a deep love bound us. Therefore, after losing her physically, I felt a strong need to connect with her spiritually. Two days before she passed, while we were napping, she told me, “Anytime you need me, ‘little girl,’ I’ll come back as dragonflies & butterflies.” For the past twenty-two years, she has kept this promise.

I have since created a prayer corner using two vintage crates from a flea market. This space holds items connecting me to loved ones I’ve lost. It’s where I communicate with my team of angels, and they, in turn, speak to me through visions, words, and symbols.

Although you have many spirit guides, connecting with your angels through meditation can offer unique insights. Your guardian angels are powerful, wise beings with a deep understanding of your needs, strengths, weaknesses, and life purpose. Remember that angels actively intervene in our lives only when invited. Meditation provides an opportunity to connect with them and lovingly request their participation in your daily life.

To begin your angel meditation, find a quiet, private space where you can relax without distractions. While optional, incense and candlelight can help create a meditative atmosphere. Placing an image, statue, or symbolic item representing angels before you can aid in focus.

Sit comfortably, take deep breaths, and allow yourself to relax. Once you feel peaceful, mentally invite your highest-light angels to join you for meditation, emphasizing the importance of this time together. Visualize a bright white light above you and, as you breathe in, draw it into the crown of your head, then throughout your entire body. Feel the light spread through your limbs and core. Repeat this process with a violet light.

Invite your angels to be present once more. Allow the surrounding stillness to enter your being and open your heart to your angelic guidance. If your angels have a message, they will communicate it now. Imagine them wrapping their wings around you, filling you with their abundant love. Inhale this love as you did the light.

As the meditation concludes, you might sense a presence, fluttering wings, or flowing fabric, or perhaps see an angel in your mind’s eye. Thank them for their love, light, and presence during your meditation. If you don’t feel or see anything, don’t be concerned; trust that your angels are with you. You may notice subtle signs of their nearness throughout the day, like finding a feather. With practice, you will become more skilled at recognizing when your angels are close and sensing their presence.

I will soon share the most magical moment of my life in the past twenty-two years: the story of My Dragonflies.
